Lindsay Lohan in Rehab

Lindsay Lohan, the twenty-one year old actress who has seemed to suffer meltdown after meltdown in recent months, isn't immune to scandal, even in rehab. Tucked away at Cirque Lodge, an upscale rehab facility in Utah, Lindsay Lohan is evidently still battling her vices. Word is that while she has been avoiding drugs and drinking, she is having a more difficult time abstaining from sex. Here are the recent rumors about the latest celebrity sex scandal, involving Lindsay Lohan in rehab.

Rehab insiders apparently say that Lindsay Lohan was caught in a compromising position at the Utah treatment facility during her stay. She and another male patient were evidently caught in a bathroom together, and rumors around the facility were that the two of them were engaging in sex. Some call it a way of acting out in the face of authority. Violating rules, whether in rehab or in the real world, are so ingrained for Lindsay Lohan that they are, for her, part of the norm.

Can Lindsay Lohan salvage her once promising career on the silver screen? Many Hollywood insiders are saying no. First and foremost, of course, she will have to find a way to put an end to her self-destructive behavior, and that for any twenty-one year is easier said than done. For a twenty-one year old mega-celebrity with millions of dollars, who is constantly in the spotlight, it is even more difficult.

Making bad movies doesn't help. And this summer's I Know Who Killed Me probably didn't help Lindsay Lohan's career any more than her drinking and drugging and driving under the influence.

And, of course, there is that double standard. Lindsay Lohan is a female. She is not supposed to be partying like Robert Downey, Jr. and Christian Slater on New Years Eve. She is not supposed to be screwing more celebrities than Scott Baio. And as a lady, as a Hollywood starlet, she sure isn't supposed to be flashing her bare crotch for photographers.

Paris Hilton Released from Jail

Paris Hilton has been released from jail on Thursday, after just a 3+ day stay for violating her probation after a drunk driving charge, according to a report by NBC News.

According to reports by TMZ News (tmz.com), The notorious party heiress has been fitted for an ankle bracelet and reassigned to House arrest. Reportedly the authorities decided to release Hilton from jail due to medical reasons. TMZ reports this according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesperson, Steve Whitmore.

During a press conference held in front of the jail, reporters attempted to learn the details of the medical condition. Whitmore said he "could not discuss even the slightest health-related details due to confidentiality laws. Hilton had been initially sentenced to 45 days in jail, which was later reduced to 23 days for presumed good behavior.

Whitmore stated that Paris was not released early, rather that she had been reassigned. Paris Hilton will be confined to house arrest in her West Hollywood home for 40 days. Hilton is confined to a 3000-4000 foot radius of freedom. She has been fitted for an ankle bracelet, according to the statement made by Whitmore, in the press conference. This is in contrast to her jail cell, which was 96 square feet. After 40 days of house arrest, Whitmore said , "she will have fulfilled her debt to society."

During Hilton's confinement in jail, she was visited daily by her lawyer and psychiatrist, according to TMZ News. TMZ News stated that they had been told by "Unimpeachable source's" that the deal was sealed yesterday, and that Hilton made her exit early this morning.".

Much has been made of the heiress's stint in jail. Questions have been raised about whether Paris had received "celebrity justice". Hilton had been kept in an isolated cell 23 hours a day, reportedly for her safety.

Paris Hilton Sentenced to 45 Days in Jail

Paris Hilton, the Hotel heiress and "celebutante" of the Simple Life was sentenced to 45 days in jail for violating her probation. Paris Hilton was given probation after an alcohol-related reckless driving offense earlier in the year.

Paris Hilton has been ordered report to jail by June 5. Paris will not be granted any work release, furloughs, use of an alternative jail or electronic monitoring in lieu of jail, or any other common "special accommodations" which celebrities often receive (www.forbes.com). Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer was the judge in the case.

"I'm very sorry and from now on I'm going to pay complete attention to everything. I'm sorry and I did not do it on purpose at all," Paris Hilton plead to Judge Sauer before her sentencing (www.mlive.com).

On January 15, Paris Hilton was pulled over by a California Highway Patrol officer. The officer informed her that she was driving on a suspended license and she signed a document acknowledging that she was not to drive (www.forbes.com).

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies also stopped Paris Hilton on February 2. This was when Hilton was charged with violating her probation. Paris was allegedly speeding and driving with her headlights off at about 11:00pm.

In court, Paris testified that she thought her license was suspended for 30 days and that she was allowed to drive for work purposes during the next 90 days, which was the time period in which the arrest occurred (www.mlive.com).

When asked about the document she signed in January acknowledging the suspension, Paris Hilton said, she thought he was mistaken and did not actually look at the document (www.forbes.com).

Paris had also failed to enroll in alcohol-abuse classes which were mandated by the court. Paris is one of a string of celebrities charged with alcohol-related infractions. She is one of the first recently to actually be sentenced to jail time.

Feb. 2: Britney Spears arrives at Kimora Lee Simmons' Baby Phat fall 2007 collection during Fashion Week in New York.

Britney Spears left rehab on Wednesday after spending only one day there, according to reports, just a week after she spent the same amount of time at a different facility.

The television news magazine "The Insider" initially reported that Spears called a car service, walked out of the Promises Residential Treatment Centers in Malibu, Calif., and left the facility early Wednesday morning, far short of the usual 45-day stay.

Later, the TV show "Extra" and the Web site TMZ.com said Spears, 25, had left the center.

The troubled pop star and mother of two tried to get into a tattoo parlor before going home, but it was closed, "Extra" reported.

Spears checked into rehab Tuesday after a bizarre weekend that included shaving her own head and getting new tattoos.

Photographs showed a bald Spears on the grounds of the rehab center, smoking a cigarette and wearing a punk-rock style pink tank top emblazoned with the word "delicious."

Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, told People magazine's Web site that Spears had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility.

Paris Hilton enters not guilty plea in Drunk Driving case

An attorney for Paris Hilton entered not guilty pleas on her behalf Tuesday to charges of misdemeanor driving under the influence.

Hilton, 25, wasn't required to appear in court.

She was arrested in Hollywood in September. Police said they saw her "driving erratically" and pulled her over for a field sobriety test.

The judge set a pretrial hearing for Jan. 23 and said the trial must begin by Feb. 23.

If convicted as a first-time offender, Hilton would likely face a fine, enrollment in an alcohol-rehabilitation program and a possible license suspension, according to prosecutors.

Hilton has starred with sometime-friend Nicole Richie in the reality TV show "The Simple Life."
