"Kiss" Star Gene Simmons the Alleged Subject of a New Celebrity Sex Tape

If there's any truth to the latest Gene Simmons scandal, video rental stores may have to create special sections exclusively for celebrity sex tapes. According to the Daily Telegraph, a sex video featuring a man who resembles Gene Simmons and a blonde woman identified only as Elsa has become available via the Internet. The video, which shows the man and woman engaged in various sexual activities, is available for purchase on a website called GenesSecret.com.

Simmons, 59, who stirred things up on the inaugural edition of "The Celebrity Apprentice," is the latest celebrity whose name and public image have been linked to a sex tape. Simmons also has been in a long-term relationship with Shannon Tweed and is said to be "fuming about the tape."

To get a little more "exposure," some female celebrities have posed nude or semi-nude in special interest magazines such as "Playboy" or "Maxim." Lindsay Lohan even recently recreated a legendary Marilyn Monroe pictorial for the February 25 edition of "New York" magazine.

While there is some artistic merit to those types of photographs, it's hard to see how a graphic sex tape could do anything but damage a celebrity's credibility, especially for a man like Gene Simmons who has worked hard to establish himself as an entrepreneur.

The Gene Simmons Sex Tape: Bad Judgment

Over the last few years, video cameras have become small enough to stick in a shirt pocket and almost every cell phone contains a digital camera, which makes it easy for a member of the "citizen paparazzi" to capture a celebrity performing a sex act in public.

In early January, a male acquaintance of actress Vivica A. Fox allegedly recorded their sexual encounter on his cell phone and mailed it out to friends. Fox wasn't trying to create a sexually oriented video, but she became the unwilling subject of one.

The “Edison Chen Incident” Sex Scandal

Chinese-Canadian Hong Kong movie actor and singer, Edison Chen, is in deep water! over what Asian tabloids are now calling the “Edison Chen Incident”. The sex scandal involves pictures with Chen and other celebrities including, Bobo Chan and Gillian Chung.

Apparently, this is huge news in China! The foreign press is denying that the pictures are real and stating that they must be photoshoped!… but who’s to really know for sure, right?… It’s believed that the pictures were stolen off Chen’s laptop when he it was left with a computer technician to get fixed…. rumor also has it that there could be over 1000 racy images depicted the star in various sexual acts!!!…

Chen released the following statement via his website…

"Today I have broken my silence.

As of this evening, the police have made significant advances towards solving this malicious crime. As from the beginning I will continue to give the police my fullest cooperation to bring the perpetrators to justice.

At this time I am not able to discuss matters related to the case, but I do feel it is my obligation to accept full responsibility and take action to help both the victims and those associated with them to heal their wounds.

In this regard, I plead with everyone to please stop forwarding the images on the Internet. Furthermore, to completely rid the images from your computer. This is a small step that each one of us can take to help the innocent rebuild their lives. The priority now is for all of us to pitch in and help those in need.”
